Responsibility
- Lead the end-to-end development of automation systems, including PLC programming, HMI design, and SCADA integration for plant operations.
- Spearhead the implementation of Industry 4.0 technologies, such as IoT, AI-driven analytics, and robotics, to modernize production lines.
- Collaborate with production teams to identify bottlenecks and design automated solutions to improve efficiency and reduce waste.
- Oversee the testing, commissioning, and troubleshooting of automation systems to ensure reliability and compliance with safety standards.
- Develop and maintain technical documentation, including system architectures, user manuals, and maintenance protocols.
- Train and mentor engineering staff and operators on new automation tools and best practices.
- Monitor performance metrics and implement continuous improvements to enhance system uptime and output quality.
- Stay abreast of emerging trends in industrial automation and recommend innovative solutions to maintain competitive advantage.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Mechanical, or Automation Engineering (Master’s preferred).
- Minimum 5 years of experience in plant automation, with a focus on PLC (Siemens, Allen-Bradley), SCADA, and industrial networks.
- Proven track record in designing and deploying automation solutions in manufacturing or heavy industry.
- Proficiency in programming languages such as Ladder Logic, Structured Text, or Python for industrial applications.
- Strong knowledge of industrial protocols (Modbus, Profibus, OPC UA) and experience with MES/ERP system integration.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to analyze complex technical issues under pressure.
- Familiarity with safety standards (ISO, OSHA) and regulatory compliance in industrial environments.
- Fluent in English with exceptional communication and leadership abilities.
