Responsibility
- Design, develop, and maintain high-performance PL/SQL procedures, functions, packages, and triggers to support business applications.
- Optimize database performance through query tuning, indexing strategies, and efficient data modeling.
- Collaborate with software engineers and data analysts to integrate database solutions with front-end and back-end systems.
- Write and review technical design documents to ensure alignment with project requirements and best practices.
- Troubleshoot and debug complex database issues, ensuring minimal downtime and maximum reliability.
- Implement data security measures, including access controls, encryption, and compliance with industry standards.
- Participate in code reviews, providing constructive feedback to peers and adhering to coding standards.
- Stay updated with emerging database technologies and recommend improvements to enhance system efficiency.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- 5+ years of hands-on experience in PL/SQL development, with a strong portfolio of database projects.
- Proficiency in Oracle Database, SQL, and PL/SQL, including advanced features like collections, dynamic SQL, and error handling.
- Experience with database performance tuning, query optimization, and indexing strategies.
- Familiarity with ETL processes, data warehousing, and reporting tools (e.g., Oracle BI, Tableau).
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to debug complex database issues efficiently.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively in a remote team environment.
- Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git) and Agile/Scrum methodologies is a plus.
