Responsibility
- Provide expert clinical care to patients undergoing peritoneal dialysis, ensuring adherence to protocols and best practices.
- Develop and implement individualized care plans in collaboration with patients, families, and the healthcare team.
- Educate patients and caregivers on peritoneal dialysis procedures, equipment use, and infection control measures.
- Monitor patient progress, assess treatment effectiveness, and adjust care plans as needed.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records, ensuring compliance with regulatory and organizational standards.
- Train and mentor junior nursing staff and other healthcare professionals on peritoneal dialysis techniques and patient care.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance the delivery of dialysis services.
- Ensure a safe and hygienic environment for patients, adhering to infection control and safety protocols.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Nursing or equivalent qualification; specialization in nephrology or dialysis nursing is a plus.
- Valid nursing license and certification in peritoneal dialysis or related field.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in peritoneal dialysis nursing, with a proven track record in patient care.
- Strong clinical skills, including proficiency in dialysis procedures, patient assessment, and emergency response.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to educate and support patients and families.
