Responsibility
- Conduct comprehensive eye examinations to assess visual acuity, refractive errors, and ocular health.
- Diagnose and manage common eye conditions such as dry eye, glaucoma, and conjunctivitis.
- Prescribe and fit corrective lenses, including glasses and contact lenses, tailored to individual patient needs.
- Utilize advanced diagnostic equipment (e.g., autorefractors, tonometers, retinal cameras) to perform precise evaluations.
- Provide personalized patient education on eye health, preventive care, and treatment options.
- Collaborate with ophthalmologists and healthcare teams to ensure seamless patient referrals when necessary.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records in compliance with clinical standards and regulations.
- Stay current with industry trends and advancements in optometry through continuous professional development.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Doctorate degree in Optometry from an accredited institution.
- Valid optometry license or eligibility to practice in Indonesia (assistance with licensing may be provided).
- Minimum 3-5 years of clinical experience as an Optometrist, with a preference for senior-level roles.
- Proven expertise in refractive error correction, ocular disease diagnosis, and contact lens fitting.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to build rapport with diverse patient populations.
- Proficiency in using optometric equipment and EHR (Electronic Health Record) systems.
- Commitment to ethical practice and patient-centered care.
- Fluency in English; knowledge of Indonesian or other local languages is a plus.
