Responsibility
- Design and develop advanced optical systems, including lenses, mirrors, and photonic components for semiconductor applications.
- Conduct simulations and modeling using industry-standard tools (e.g., CODE V, Zemax, Lumerical) to optimize optical performance.
- Collaborate with R&D and manufacturing teams to integrate optical solutions into semiconductor fabrication processes.
- Perform tolerance analysis and feasibility studies to ensure design robustness and manufacturability.
- Develop and implement testing protocols to validate optical system performance against specifications.
- Stay abreast of emerging trends in optics and photonics, proposing innovative solutions to enhance product capabilities.
- Document technical designs, test results, and process improvements for internal and external stakeholders.
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and cross-functional teams.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Optical Engineering, Physics, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in optical design, with a focus on semiconductor, photonic, or lens systems.
- Proficiency in optical design software such as CODE V, Zemax, or Lumerical.
- Strong understanding of geometric optics, wave optics, and semiconductor fabrication processes.
- Experience with tolerance analysis, stray light analysis, and optical testing methodologies.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work in a collaborative, fast-paced environment.
- Familiarity with ISO standards, GD&T, and optical metrology tools is a plus.
- Strong communication skills in English, with the ability to present complex technical concepts clearly.
