Responsibility
- Conduct comprehensive hand and upper extremity assessments to evaluate patients’ functional limitations, pain levels, and rehabilitation needs.
- Develop and implement personalized treatment plans using advanced therapeutic techniques, including manual therapy, splinting, and exercise programs.
- Collaborate with orthopedic surgeons, physiotherapists, and other healthcare professionals to ensure integrated, holistic patient care.
- Educate patients and caregivers on injury prevention, ergonomics, and home exercise programs to support long-term recovery.
- Monitor and document patient progress, adjusting interventions as needed to optimize outcomes.
- Stay current with emerging trends in hand therapy and occupational rehabilitation through continuous professional development.
- Provide post-surgical rehabilitation for conditions such as tendon repairs, nerve injuries, and fractures.
- Advocate for patient needs and contribute to multidisciplinary case conferences to enhance care coordination.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited institution.
- Minimum 5 years of clinical experience in hand therapy or upper extremity rehabilitation.
- Certification in Hand Therapy (CHT) or equivalent specialization is highly preferred.
- Proven expertise in assessing and treating conditions such as carpal tunnel syndrome, tendonitis, and complex trauma injuries.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to build rapport with patients and healthcare teams.
- Familiarity with splint fabrication, wound care, and scar management techniques.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative, patient-focused team.
- Licensed or eligible for licensure to practice in Indonesia (assistance provided for relocation).
