Responsibility
- Assess and treat patients with hand, wrist, and upper limb conditions using evidence-based therapeutic interventions.
- Develop and implement personalized treatment plans to improve hand function, reduce pain, and enhance independence.
- Collaborate with physicians, surgeons, and other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care.
- Provide education to patients and caregivers on injury prevention, home exercises, and adaptive techniques.
- Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans as needed to achieve optimal outcomes.
- Utilize specialized equipment and modalities (e.g., splinting, ultrasound, manual therapy) to support recovery.
- Maintain accurate documentation of patient assessments, treatments, and progress notes.
- Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
Qualifications
- Bachelorâs or Masterâs degree in Occupational Therapy or related field from an accredited institution.
- Minimum 3-5 years of experience as an Occupational Therapist, with a focus on hand therapy preferred.
- Certification or advanced training in hand therapy (e.g., CHT) is highly desirable.
- Proficiency in assessing and treating conditions such as fractures, tendon injuries, arthritis, and post-surgical cases.
- Strong knowledge of splinting techniques, manual therapy, and therapeutic exercises.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build rapport with patients and healthcare teams.
- Ability to work independently and manage a diverse caseload in a fast-paced environment.
- Fluency in English; additional languages (e.g., Indonesian, Mandarin) are a plus.
