As an Infection Control Nurse, you will play a critical role in developing, implementing, and monitoring infection control policies and procedures. Responsibility
- Develop, implement, and evaluate infection control policies and procedures in alignment with best practices and regulatory standards.
- Conduct surveillance, data collection, and analysis to identify infection trends and outbreaks.
- Provide expert guidance and training to healthcare staff on infection prevention, hand hygiene, and sterile techniques.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to investigate and manage infection control incidents.
- Ensure compliance with local, national, and international infection control guidelines (e.g., WHO, CDC).
- Design and deliver educational programs for staff, patients, and visitors on infection prevention measures.
- Monitor and report on the effectiveness of infection control interventions, recommending improvements as needed.
- Stay updated on emerging infectious diseases and evidence-based practices in infection control.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Nursing; Master’s degree in Infection Control, Public Health, or related field is a plus.
- Minimum 5 years of clinical nursing experience, with at least 3 years in Infection Control or a related specialty.
- Certification in Infection Control (e.g., CIC) is highly preferred.
- Strong knowledge of epidemiology, microbiology, and infection prevention protocols.
- Proven experience in developing and delivering training programs for healthcare professionals.
- Excellent analytical, communication, and leadership skills.
- Familiarity with healthcare quality standards and accreditation processes.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
