Responsibility
- Design and architect enterprise-grade network security solutions, including firewalls, VPNs, IDS/IPS, and zero-trust frameworks.
- Develop and maintain network security policies, standards, and procedures in compliance with industry best practices (e.g., ISO 27001, NIST).
- Lead the evaluation, selection, and deployment of cutting-edge networking hardware, software, and cloud-based security tools.
- Conduct risk assessments and vulnerability audits to identify and remediate network weaknesses.
- Collaborate with DevOps, Cloud, and IT teams to integrate security into CI/CD pipelines and hybrid cloud environments.
- Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior engineers and stakeholders on network security best practices.
- Oversee network performance monitoring, troubleshooting, and optimization to ensure high availability and resilience.
- Stay ahead of emerging threats and technologies (e.g., SD-WAN, SASE, AI-driven security) to future-proof network architectures.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or a related field. Relevant certifications (e.g., CCNP, CCIE, CISSP, CCSP, or AWS/Azure Networking) are a plus.
- 8+ years of hands-on experience in network engineering, with at least 3 years in a security-focused or architectural role.
- Deep expertise in network protocols (TCP/IP, BGP, OSPF), security appliances (Cisco ASA, Palo Alto, Fortinet), and encryption standards.
- Proven track record in designing and deploying secure network solutions for large-scale enterprises or service providers.
- Strong understanding of cloud networking (AWS, Azure, GCP) and hybrid/multi-cloud security architectures.
- Experience with network automation tools (Ansible, Python, Terraform) and security orchestration platforms.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills to articulate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Familiarity with regulatory compliance frameworks (e.g., GDPR, PCI-DSS) and their impact on network design.
