Responsibility
- Design, implement, and maintain enterprise-level network infrastructure, including LAN, WAN, VPN, and wireless networks, to ensure high availability and performance.
- Monitor network performance, troubleshoot issues, and optimize systems to minimize downtime and enhance user experience.
- Collaborate with IT teams to align network strategies with business goals and ensure seamless integration with other systems.
- Develop and enforce network security policies, including firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems, and access controls, to protect company data.
- Lead network projects, including upgrades, migrations, and expansions, while ensuring compliance with industry standards and best practices.
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior network engineers and support staff to foster skill development and team growth.
- Document network configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting steps to maintain a knowledge base for the IT team.
- Stay updated on emerging network technologies and trends to recommend innovative solutions that drive operational efficiency.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in network engineering, with at least 2 years in a senior or lead role.
- Expertise in Cisco, Juniper, or similar networking hardware, including routers, switches, and firewalls.
- Strong knowledge of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPN, BGP, OSPF, and MPLS protocols and technologies.
- Experience with network security, including firewalls, IDS/IPS, and vulnerability assessments.
- Familiarity with cloud networking (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud) and hybrid network architectures.
- Certifications such as CCNP, CCNA, JNCIA, or equivalent are highly desirable.
- Excellent problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to work independently in a remote setting.
- Strong communication skills in English, with the ability to collaborate effectively with global teams.
