As a Project-Based MSP Engineer III, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring network availability, performance, and security for our clients. Responsibility
- Manage and resolve escalated network incidents with minimal downtime, ensuring high availability and performance.
- Design, implement, and optimize enterprise-grade network solutions including LAN, WAN, VPN, and cloud-based networks.
- Monitor network performance, identify bottlenecks, and proactively address potential issues before they impact operations.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deploy and integrate new network technologies and upgrades.
- Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior engineers and support staff.
- Develop and maintain network documentation, including diagrams, configurations, and troubleshooting guides.
- Conduct security audits and implement best practices to safeguard network infrastructure against threats.
- Work closely with vendors and clients to ensure seamless network service delivery and alignment with business objectives.
Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in network engineering, with a focus on Managed Service Provider (MSP) environments.
- Proven expertise in Cisco, Juniper, or Fortinet networking technologies (CCNP/CCIE, JNCIP, or equivalent certifications are a plus).
- Strong knowledge of routing and switching protocols (BGP, OSPF, EIGRP, VLAN, STP, etc.).
- Experience with firewall management, VPN configurations, and network security principles.
- Proficiency in network monitoring tools (e.g., SolarWinds, PRTG, Nagios) and troubleshooting methodologies.
- Hands-on experience with cloud networking (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and hybrid network architectures.
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Availability to work on a 12-month contract with potential for extension based on performance.
