Responsibility
- Design, develop, and optimize plastic injection molding processes to enhance efficiency, quality, and cost-effectiveness.
- Lead troubleshooting efforts for molding defects, material inconsistencies, and equipment malfunctions to minimize downtime and waste.
- Collaborate with R&D and production teams to implement new molding techniques, materials, and technologies.
- Conduct root cause analysis (RCA) for production issues and propose data-driven solutions to improve yield and performance.
- Monitor and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) such as cycle time, scrap rates, and energy consumption to drive continuous improvement.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards (e.g., ISO, ASTM) and company quality protocols throughout the molding process.
- Train and mentor junior engineers and production staff on best practices in molding operations and safety procedures.
- Stay updated on emerging trends in plastic molding, automation, and sustainable manufacturing to recommend process upgrades.
Qualifications
- Bachelorâs degree in Mechanical Engineering, Plastics Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in plastic injection molding, with a proven track record in process optimization and troubleshooting.
- Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD) and molding simulation tools (e.g., Moldflow, Moldex3D).
- Hands-on experience with injection molding machines (e.g., Arburg, Engel, Sumitomo) and auxiliary equipment.
- Strong understanding of polymer materials, additives, and their impact on molding performance.
- Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or other continuous improvement methodologies.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and project management skills.
- Fluency in English; additional languages (e.g., Indonesian, Mandarin) are a plus.
