Responsibility
- Develop and execute merchandise plans to maximize sales, inventory turnover, and profitability.
- Analyze market trends, sales data, and consumer insights to inform product assortment and pricing strategies.
- Collaborate with buying, design, and marketing teams to align merchandise plans with brand objectives.
- Monitor inventory levels and implement strategies to optimize stock allocation and minimize excess inventory.
- Prepare and present seasonal merchandise plans, including sales forecasts, inventory projections, and financial targets.
- Conduct competitive analysis to identify market opportunities and threats.
- Lead cross-functional meetings to review performance, adjust strategies, and ensure alignment with business goals.
- Mentor and guide junior team members to foster a culture of continuous improvement and innovation.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Fashion Merchandising, Retail Management, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in merchandise planning, preferably in the fashion or retail industry.
- Strong analytical skills with proficiency in data analysis tools and Excel.
- Experience with retail planning software (e.g., JDA, SAP, or similar) is a plus.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels.
- Proven track record of driving sales growth and optimizing inventory performance.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities effectively.
- Passion for fashion and a deep understanding of market trends and consumer behavior.
