Responsibility
- Conduct thorough socio-economic assessments to identify patients’ and families’ financial, emotional, and social needs.
- Develop and implement personalized care plans to address identified concerns, ensuring access to necessary resources.
- Collaborate with healthcare teams, including doctors, nurses, and therapists, to provide integrated patient support.
- Advocate for patients’ rights and connect them with community services, government aid, or charitable organizations.
- Provide crisis intervention and counseling to patients and families facing medical or emotional distress.
- Educate patients and caregivers on available social services, insurance benefits, and financial assistance programs.
- Document all evaluations, interventions, and follow-ups in compliance with healthcare regulations and ethical standards.
- Participate in multidisciplinary meetings to discuss patient progress and adjust care plans as needed.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Social Work, Psychology, or a related field (accredited by relevant authorities).
- Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Medical Social Worker, preferably in a hospital or clinical setting.
- Strong knowledge of socio-economic evaluation techniques and community resource networks.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build trust with diverse patient populations.
- Familiarity with healthcare systems, insurance processes, and legal aspects of patient advocacy.
- Proven ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency in documentation and case management software.
- Fluency in English; additional proficiency in Indonesian or local dialects is a plus.
