Responsibility
- Design, develop, and optimize mechanical systems for poultry processing, including conveyor systems, refrigeration units, and packaging machinery.
- Oversee installation, testing, and maintenance of mechanical equipment to ensure compliance with food safety (HACCP, ISO 22000) and industry standards.
- Conduct root-cause analysis for equipment failures and implement corrective actions to minimize downtime.
- Collaborate with production teams to enhance process efficiency, reduce energy consumption, and improve yield.
- Prepare technical specifications, schematics, and BOMs (Bill of Materials) for procurement and vendor coordination.
- Lead continuous improvement projects (e.g., automation, waste reduction) to align with GAMAâs sustainability goals.
- Train and mentor junior engineers and technicians on best practices in mechanical maintenance and troubleshooting.
- Ensure adherence to local regulations (e.g., Indonesian SNI standards) and international food safety protocols.
Qualifications
- Bachelorâs degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field; Masterâs degree is a plus.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in mechanical design/engineering, preferably in food processing, FMCG, or agricultural industries.
- Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD, SolidWorks) and simulation tools (e.g., ANSYS).
- Strong knowledge of thermodynamics, fluid mechanics, and material handling systems.
- Experience with preventive/predictive maintenance and reliability engineering (e.g., TPM, RCM).
- Familiarity with food safety standards (HACCP, GMP, ISO 22000) and regulatory compliance.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work in a fast-paced, multicultural environment.
- Fluency in English; knowledge of Bahasa Indonesia is advantageous.
