Responsibility
- Lead the design, installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of mechanical systems (HVAC, chillers, cooling towers, pumps, and fire suppression) in data centers.
- Develop and implement preventive and predictive maintenance programs to minimize downtime and extend equipment lifespan.
- Conduct regular inspections, performance testing, and energy efficiency audits to optimize system operations.
- Collaborate with electrical engineers, IT teams, and facility managers to ensure seamless integration of mechanical and critical infrastructure.
- Oversee vendor and contractor management, including RFP processes, SLA compliance, and quality assurance for outsourced services.
- Analyze mechanical system failures, root cause investigations, and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards (ASHRAE, TIA-942, ISO 50001) and local/regional regulations for data center operations.
- Prepare technical reports, budgets, and capital expenditure proposals for mechanical system upgrades or replacements.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field; Master’s degree or professional certifications (PE, CFPS, LEED AP) are a plus.
- Minimum 8 years of experience in mechanical engineering, with at least 5 years in data center or critical facility maintenance.
- Proven expertise in HVAC systems, chilled water plants, CRAC/CRAH units, and building automation systems (BAS).
- Strong knowledge of data center cooling technologies (e.g., direct-to-chip, immersion cooling, free cooling).
- Experience with CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management Systems) and BMS (Building Management Systems).
- Familiarity with energy efficiency standards (PUE, WUE) and sustainability initiatives for green data centers.
- Excellent project management, leadership, and problem-solving skills with the ability to work under pressure.
- Fluency in English (written and verbal); knowledge of Bahasa Indonesia is advantageous.
