Join APP Group as a Senior Mechanical Engineer specializing in pre-commissioning, commissioning, and start-up of advanced mechanical systems. Responsibility
- Lead and supervise pre-commissioning, commissioning, and start-up activities for mechanical systems, ensuring compliance with project specifications and industry standards.
- Develop and execute mechanical completion verification protocols, including punch list management and system readiness assessments.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (electrical, instrumentation, process) to integrate mechanical systems and resolve interfacing issues.
- Conduct risk assessments and implement mitigation strategies for mechanical system start-ups, prioritizing safety and reliability.
- Prepare and review technical documentation, including test procedures, reports, and as-built drawings.
- Monitor and optimize mechanical system performance during start-up, troubleshooting deviations and implementing corrective actions.
- Provide technical guidance to junior engineers and contractors, ensuring adherence to best practices and project timelines.
- Liaise with clients, vendors, and regulatory bodies to ensure alignment on mechanical system requirements and certifications.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field; Master’s degree is a plus.
- Minimum 8+ years of experience in mechanical engineering, with at least 5 years in commissioning and start-up for industrial projects (pulp/paper, oil & gas, or power plants preferred).
- Proven expertise in OKI (Ogan Komering Ilir) or similar large-scale mechanical systems, including rotating equipment, piping, and pressure vessels.
- Strong knowledge of international standards (ASME, API, ISO) and local regulatory requirements.
- Certification in Project Management (PMP) or Commissioning & Start-Up (C&SU) is highly desirable.
- Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and leadership skills with the ability to manage high-pressure situations.
- Fluency in English (written and verbal); proficiency in Indonesian is a plus.
- Willingness to relocate to Badung, Bali and work on a contract basis with potential for extension.
