Responsibility

  • Lead the mechanical design and development of rechargeable battery packs, chargers, and related enclosures using CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD).
  • Conduct feasibility studies and prototype testing to validate design performance, durability, and safety under various conditions.
  • Collaborate with electrical engineers to ensure seamless integration of mechanical and electrical components in battery systems.
  • Optimize designs for manufacturability (DFM), cost-effectiveness, and compliance with UL, CE, RoHS, and other international standards.
  • Develop and maintain technical documentation, including BOMs, engineering drawings, and test reports.
  • Work closely with suppliers and manufacturers to resolve production issues and improve yield rates.
  • Stay abreast of emerging trends in battery technology, materials, and industry best practices to drive continuous innovation.
  • Support failure analysis and root-cause investigations to enhance product reliability and customer satisfaction.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field; PE certification is a plus.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in mechanical design for consumer electronics, battery systems, or power solutions.
  • Proficiency in 3D CAD tools (SolidWorks, Pro/E, or equivalent) and FEA/CAE analysis for structural and thermal validation.
  • Strong knowledge of material selection (plastics, metals, composites) and manufacturing processes (injection molding, sheet metal, etc.).
  • Experience with DFMEA, PFMEA, and design for assembly (DFA) methodologies.
  • Familiarity with battery safety standards (UN 38.3, IEC 62133) and testing protocols.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work in a fast-paced, multicultural environment.
  • Fluency in English; proficiency in Bahasa Indonesia is advantageous.
