Responsibility
- Lead the mechanical design and development of rechargeable battery packs, chargers, and related enclosures using CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD).
- Conduct feasibility studies and prototype testing to validate design performance, durability, and safety under various conditions.
- Collaborate with electrical engineers to ensure seamless integration of mechanical and electrical components in battery systems.
- Optimize designs for manufacturability (DFM), cost-effectiveness, and compliance with UL, CE, RoHS, and other international standards.
- Develop and maintain technical documentation, including BOMs, engineering drawings, and test reports.
- Work closely with suppliers and manufacturers to resolve production issues and improve yield rates.
- Stay abreast of emerging trends in battery technology, materials, and industry best practices to drive continuous innovation.
- Support failure analysis and root-cause investigations to enhance product reliability and customer satisfaction.
Qualifications
- Bachelorâs or Masterâs degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field; PE certification is a plus.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in mechanical design for consumer electronics, battery systems, or power solutions.
- Proficiency in 3D CAD tools (SolidWorks, Pro/E, or equivalent) and FEA/CAE analysis for structural and thermal validation.
- Strong knowledge of material selection (plastics, metals, composites) and manufacturing processes (injection molding, sheet metal, etc.).
- Experience with DFMEA, PFMEA, and design for assembly (DFA) methodologies.
- Familiarity with battery safety standards (UN 38.3, IEC 62133) and testing protocols.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work in a fast-paced, multicultural environment.
- Fluency in English; proficiency in Bahasa Indonesia is advantageous.
