Responsibility
- Develop and maintain detailed 3D Revit models for HVAC systems, including ductwork, piping, and equipment layouts.
- Collaborate with engineers, architects, and contractors to ensure clash-free coordination and seamless integration of mechanical systems.
- Prepare construction drawings, schematics, and BIM deliverables in compliance with project specifications and industry standards (ASHRAE, SMACNA, etc.).
- Perform load calculations, equipment selection, and system sizing for HVAC designs using industry-standard software.
- Review and incorporate redlines and markups from senior engineers and clients into final designs.
- Conduct quality control checks on models and drawings to ensure accuracy and adherence to best practices.
- Support project teams in design development, value engineering, and problem-solving for complex mechanical challenges.
- Stay updated with emerging HVAC technologies, sustainability trends, and BIM advancements to enhance project outcomes.
Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience as a Mechanical Designer or Revit Modeler, with a focus on HVAC systems in building services.
- Proficiency in Autodesk Revit MEP (mandatory) and familiarity with AutoCAD, Navisworks, or BIM 360.
- Strong understanding of mechanical engineering principles, including fluid dynamics, thermodynamics, and psychrometrics.
- Experience with HVAC load calculations (e.g., Carrier HAP, Trace 700) and duct/piping design software.
- Knowledge of international codes and standards (ASHRAE, NFPA, IMC) and local regulations in Indonesia.
- Ability to read and interpret architectural and structural drawings for coordination purposes.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams.
- Bachelorâs degree in Mechanical Engineering, HVAC Technology, or related field (or equivalent experience).
