Responsibility
- Lead the design, development, and testing of mechanical and mechatronic systems from concept to production.
- Collaborate with R&D teams to innovate and refine product designs using CAD (SolidWorks, AutoCAD, or similar) and simulation tools.
- Conduct feasibility studies, risk assessments, and failure mode analysis to ensure robust, high-quality solutions.
- Oversee prototyping and rapid iteration processes, leveraging 3D printing and CNC machining where applicable.
- Work closely with manufacturing and supply chain teams to optimize designs for cost, scalability, and performance.
- Develop and maintain technical documentation, including BOMs, assembly drawings, and test reports.
- Stay ahead of industry trends in materials, automation, and smart manufacturing to drive continuous improvement.
- Mentor junior engineers and provide technical leadership in cross-functional project teams.
Qualifications
- Bachelorâs or Masterâs degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, or a related field; advanced degrees are a plus.
- Minimum 5+ years of experience in mechanical design, with a strong portfolio of R&D or product development projects.
- Proficiency in CAD software (SolidWorks, Fusion 360, AutoCAD) and FEA/CFD analysis tools.
- Hands-on experience with prototyping, testing, and DFM (Design for Manufacturing) principles.
- Strong knowledge of materials science, tolerancing, and GD&T standards.
- Familiarity with mechatronic systems integration (sensors, actuators, embedded systems) is highly desirable.
- Excellent problem-solving and project management skills, with the ability to lead multiple initiatives simultaneously.
- Fluency in English; additional languages are a bonus.
