Responsibility
- Lead the design and development of mechanical systems, components, and assemblies using CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD, or Fusion 360).
- Collaborate with engineering, production, and quality assurance teams to ensure designs meet manufacturability, cost, and performance targets.
- Conduct feasibility studies, prototyping, and testing to validate design concepts and optimize product performance.
- Develop and maintain detailed technical documentation, including drawings, BOMs (Bill of Materials), and specifications.
- Identify and resolve design flaws or production bottlenecks to enhance efficiency and reduce waste.
- Stay updated with industry trends, materials, and technologies to drive continuous improvement in product design.
- Ensure compliance with international standards (e.g., ISO, ASME) and local regulations for safety and quality.
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and design teams.
Qualifications
- Bachelorâs or Masterâs degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field; PE (Professional Engineer) certification is a plus.
- 5+ years of experience in mechanical design, preferably in product development, automation, or manufacturing.
- Proficiency in CAD tools (SolidWorks, AutoCAD, Inventor) and CAE/FEA software for simulation and analysis.
- Strong knowledge of materials science, manufacturing processes (CNC, injection molding, sheet metal), and GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing).
- Experience with DFM (Design for Manufacturability) and DFA (Design for Assembly) principles.
- Excellent problem-solving and project management skills, with the ability to meet tight deadlines.
- Fluency in English; knowledge of Bahasa Indonesia is advantageous but not required.
- Strong communication and teamwork abilities to liaise with global and local stakeholders.
