Responsibility
- Lead the design, development, and validation of mechanical systems and modules for CPG applications, ensuring compliance with industry standards and client requirements.
- Collaborate with R&D, manufacturing, and quality teams to optimize product performance, reliability, and manufacturability.
- Conduct feasibility studies, risk assessments, and prototype testing to validate design concepts and identify improvements.
- Utilize CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD) and simulation tools (e.g., ANSYS, FEA) to create and refine 3D models and technical drawings.
- Develop and maintain comprehensive design documentation, including BOMs, specifications, and test reports.
- Drive cost-reduction initiatives through material selection, design-for-manufacturing (DFM), and value engineering.
- Stay abreast of emerging technologies and industry trends in mechanical engineering to propose innovative solutions.
- Mentor junior engineers and provide technical guidance to ensure project milestones are met on time and within budget.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field; professional certification (e.g., P.E.) is a plus.
- Minimum 5+ years of experience in mechanical design, with a focus on CPG, consumer electronics, or industrial equipment.
- Proficiency in CAD software (SolidWorks, AutoCAD) and simulation tools (ANSYS, FEA).
- Strong knowledge of material science, GD&T, and manufacturing processes (e.g., injection molding, sheet metal fabrication).
- Experience with DFM, DFA, and cost optimization in high-volume production environments.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to analyze complex technical challenges.
- Proven project management skills, with the ability to lead cross-functional teams and meet tight deadlines.
- Fluency in English; additional languages are a plus.
