Responsibility
- Develop and execute material planning strategies to ensure optimal inventory levels and minimize shortages or excess stock.
- Collaborate with procurement, production, and logistics teams to align material availability with production schedules and customer demand.
- Analyze demand forecasts, lead times, and supplier performance to mitigate risks and improve supply chain efficiency.
- Monitor and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) such as inventory turnover, fill rates, and on-time delivery.
- Identify cost-saving opportunities through strategic sourcing, inventory optimization, and process improvements.
- Lead cross-functional projects to enhance material flow, reduce waste, and support lean manufacturing initiatives.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, industry standards, and regulatory requirements in all material planning activities.
- Provide mentorship and guidance to junior team members to foster professional growth and operational excellence.
Qualifications
- Bachelorâs degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Industrial Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in material planning, inventory management, or supply chain operations, preferably in manufacturing or technology industries.
- Proven expertise in demand forecasting, MRP (Material Requirements Planning), and ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle).
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data, identify trends, and make data-driven decisions.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to collaborate across departments and cultures.
- Certification in supply chain management (e.g., CSCP, CPIM) is a plus.
- Experience working in a global or multicultural environment is highly desirable.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (advanced functions, pivot tables) and supply chain software tools.
