Responsibility
- Develop and implement comprehensive cybersecurity strategies for MDOT systems, ensuring end-to-end protection from design to deployment.
- Lead risk assessments and vulnerability analyses for medical device firmware, software, and network integrations.
- Collaborate with engineering, compliance, and regulatory teams to align cybersecurity measures with industry standards (e.g., FDA, ISO 27001, NIST).
- Oversee post-market surveillance and incident response protocols to address emerging threats and vulnerabilities.
- Design and enforce policy frameworks for secure over-the-air (OTA) updates, authentication, and data encryption.
- Conduct training and awareness programs for stakeholders on cybersecurity best practices and regulatory requirements.
- Drive third-party vendor assessments to ensure supply chain security for MDOT components.
- Stay ahead of emerging cybersecurity trends and integrate innovative solutions to future-proof MDOT ecosystems.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum 8+ years of experience in cybersecurity, with at least 3 years in a leadership role (preferably in medical devices or IoT).
- Deep expertise in secure software development lifecycle (SDLC), cryptography, and network security.
- Familiarity with regulatory frameworks such as FDA 21 CFR Part 11, HIPAA, GDPR, and IEC 62443.
- Certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CEH, or GIAC are highly advantageous.
- Proven track record in risk management, threat modeling, and incident response for connected systems.
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills to bridge technical and business objectives.
- Experience with cloud security (AWS, Azure) and IoT/OT security architectures is a plus.
