Responsibility
- Perform preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance on electrical systems, instrumentation, PLCs, SCADA, and HMI interfaces to ensure optimal plant performance.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot electrical and instrumentation faults using advanced diagnostic tools and root-cause analysis techniques.
- Develop and implement maintenance schedules and procedures to minimize downtime and extend equipment lifespan.
- Collaborate with production teams to optimize automation processes and enhance system reliability.
- Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and industry regulations (e.g., ISO, OSHA) in all maintenance activities.
- Lead calibration and testing of instrumentation devices, including sensors, transmitters, and control valves.
- Document maintenance activities, generate reports, and recommend improvements for cost reduction and efficiency gains.
- Train and mentor junior engineers and technicians on best practices in electrical and instrumentation maintenance.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Instrumentation, or a related field; professional certifications (e.g., CompEx, TÜV) are a plus.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in maintenance engineering within a chemical, petrochemical, or process industry.
- Proven expertise in PLC programming (Siemens, Allen-Bradley), SCADA systems, and HMI development.
- Strong knowledge of electrical schematics, motor controls, and industrial automation protocols (e.g., Modbus, Profibus).
- Experience with calibration tools (e.g., Fluke, HART communicators) and predictive maintenance technologies (vibration analysis, thermography).
- Familiarity with safety standards (ATEX, IECEx) and hazardous area classifications.
- Excellent problem-solving, communication, and teamwork skills in a multicultural environment.
- Willingness to work in shift patterns and respond to emergency call-outs as needed.
