Responsibility
- Lead food preparation and cooking operations, ensuring consistency in taste, presentation, and quality across all dishes.
- Supervise and mentor junior kitchen staff, providing guidance on techniques, safety, and efficiency.
- Coordinate with the Head Chef to plan menus, manage inventory, and maintain optimal stock levels.
- Enforce strict hygiene and food safety standards in compliance with local and international regulations.
- Monitor kitchen workflow, adjusting priorities during peak hours to ensure timely service.
- Assist in developing new recipes and refining existing ones to align with seasonal ingredients and customer preferences.
- Conduct quality checks on all outgoing dishes to uphold the restaurant’s reputation for excellence.
- Collaborate with front-of-house teams to ensure seamless communication and guest satisfaction.
Qualifications
- Minimum 3+ years of experience as a Line Cook or similar role in a high-volume kitchen.
- Proven ability to work in fast-paced environments while maintaining composure and attention to detail.
- Strong knowledge of culinary techniques, food safety, and kitchen equipment operation.
- Excellent leadership and teamwork skills, with a track record of training and motivating staff.
- Creative mindset with a passion for innovation in menu development and presentation.
- Fluency in English; additional language skills (e.g., Indonesian, Tagalog) are a plus.
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required by the hospitality industry.
