Responsibility
- Supervise and coordinate daily laundry operations, ensuring timely and high-quality processing of linens, uniforms, and guest garments.
- Lead, train, and mentor a team of laundry staff to maintain productivity, efficiency, and adherence to resort standards.
- Implement and monitor quality control procedures to ensure all items meet hygiene and presentation expectations.
- Manage inventory of laundry supplies, equipment, and linens, coordinating with procurement for restocking as needed.
- Develop and enforce standard operating procedures (SOPs) for laundry workflows, including sorting, washing, drying, ironing, and folding.
- Collaborate with housekeeping and other departments to align laundry services with resort-wide operational needs.
- Maintain accurate records of laundry activities, including workload metrics, equipment maintenance, and staff performance.
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations, promoting sustainable practices where possible.
Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years of experience in laundry operations, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role within a hotel or resort.
- Proven leadership skills with the ability to manage and motivate a diverse team in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong knowledge of industrial laundry equipment, chemicals, and best practices for fabric care.
- Excellent organizational and problem-solving abilities to handle operational challenges efficiently.
- Familiarity with inventory management and cost-control strategies to optimize resource use.
- High attention to detail and commitment to maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness and presentation.
- Proficiency in English (written and verbal) for effective communication with staff and management.
- Flexibility to work shifts, including weekends and holidays, as required by resort operations.
