Responsibility

  • Lead and conduct experimental research in advanced welding techniques, material characterization, and process optimization for manufacturing applications.
  • Design, develop, and implement innovative manufacturing processes, including additive manufacturing, laser welding, and robotic automation.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate research findings into practical solutions for industry partners.
  • Operate and maintain laboratory equipment, ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards.
  • Analyze and interpret experimental data, prepare technical reports, and present findings to stakeholders.
  • Support the development of prototype systems and participate in pilot projects for industrial applications.

Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Materials Science, Welding Engineering, or a related field. A PhD is a plus.
  • Experience: Minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience in a research or industrial laboratory setting, with expertise in welding, material testing, or advanced manufacturing processes.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in welding techniques (e.g., TIG, MIG, laser welding), material characterization (e.g., SEM, XRD), and process optimization.
  • Analytical Skills: Strong ability to analyze complex data and translate findings into actionable insights.
  • Project Management: Experience in managing research projects, including budgeting, timeline management, and stakeholder communication.
  • Software Proficiency: Familiarity with CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD), data analysis tools (e.g., MATLAB, Python), and laboratory information management systems (LIMS).
  • Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present technical information to non-technical audiences.
  • Problem-Solving: Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot technical challenges and develop innovative solutions.
