Responsibility
- Design, develop, and optimize KDB+/q applications to support real-time data processing, analytics, and trading systems.
- Collaborate with quantitative analysts and traders to translate business requirements into high-performance technical solutions.
- Enhance and modernize existing KDB+ infrastructure, ensuring scalability, reliability, and low-latency performance.
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex issues in production environments, minimizing downtime and data inconsistencies.
- Implement best practices for code versioning, testing, and deployment in a fast-paced financial environment.
- Monitor system performance, identify bottlenecks, and propose optimizations to improve efficiency.
- Document technical designs, processes, and system architectures for knowledge sharing and compliance.
- Stay abreast of industry trends in KDB+, financial technology, and big data to drive continuous improvement.
Qualifications
- 5+ years of hands-on experience developing with KDB+/q in financial services or high-frequency data environments.
- Strong proficiency in SQL, Python, or C++ for complementary development and integration tasks.
- Deep understanding of time-series databases, in-memory computing, and real-time data pipelines.
- Experience optimizing queries and systems for low-latency, high-throughput performance.
- Familiarity with Linux/Unix environments, scripting, and automation tools.
- Proven ability to work in Agile/Scrum teams and manage stakeholders across global time zones.
- Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to system reliability and innovation.
- Bachelorâs or Masterâs degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Finance, or a related field.
