Responsibility
- Lead the commissioning process for data center projects, including testing, validation, and handover of mechanical, electrical, and IT systems.
- Develop and execute commissioning plans, checklists, and test procedures to ensure compliance with industry standards and project requirements.
- Coordinate with project stakeholders, including contractors, vendors, and internal teams, to ensure timely and successful project delivery.
- Conduct performance testing and troubleshooting of critical infrastructure, including power distribution, cooling systems, and network connectivity.
- Document commissioning activities, test results, and deficiencies, providing detailed reports to project managers and clients.
- Ensure adherence to safety protocols, quality standards, and regulatory requirements throughout the commissioning process.
- Provide technical support and training to operations teams during the handover phase.
- Identify and implement continuous improvement initiatives to enhance commissioning efficiency and effectiveness.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in commissioning data center or critical infrastructure projects.
- Strong knowledge of data center systems, including UPS, generators, HVAC, and fire suppression.
- Familiarity with industry standards such as ASHRAE, TIA-942, and Uptime Institute.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues.
- Proven ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with diverse teams.
- Willingness to travel and work on-site as required.
