Responsibility
- Lead end-to-end IT project management for banking systems, including planning, execution, monitoring, and closure.
- Oversee the SCSK Asia Pacific team, ensuring alignment with corporate goals and client expectations.
- Develop and maintain project timelines, budgets, and resource allocation to ensure on-time, on-budget delivery.
- Collaborate with stakeholders, vendors, and technical teams to define project scope, requirements, and deliverables.
- Ensure compliance with banking regulations, security protocols, and industry best practices.
- Facilitate cross-cultural communication between Japanese and international teams, leveraging bilingual proficiency.
- Identify and mitigate project risks, implementing contingency plans to maintain operational continuity.
- Drive process improvements and innovation in banking IT systems to enhance efficiency and scalability.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, Business Administration, or a related field. Master’s degree preferred.
- Minimum 7+ years of experience in IT project management, with at least 3 years in banking/financial systems.
- Proven track record of managing large-scale IT projects with budgets exceeding $1M.
- Fluency in Japanese (N2 or higher) and business-level English (written and verbal).
- Strong expertise in Agile, Waterfall, or Hybrid methodologies (PMP, PRINCE2, or Scrum certification is a plus).
- Deep understanding of banking operations, core banking systems, payment gateways, and fintech solutions.
- Excellent leadership, stakeholder management, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, multicultural environment with a focus on delivering high-quality results.
