Responsibility
- Lead and manage interior design projects from initial concept through to final site implementation, ensuring adherence to timelines, budgets, and client expectations.
- Develop creative and functional design solutions for residential, commercial, and hospitality spaces, including space planning, material selection, and furniture layouts.
- Create detailed technical drawings, 3D models, and renderings using AutoCAD, SketchUp, and other industry-standard software to communicate design intent effectively.
- Collaborate with architects, contractors, and vendors to ensure seamless project execution, resolving technical challenges and maintaining design integrity.
- Conduct site visits and inspections to monitor progress, address on-site issues, and ensure compliance with design specifications and safety standards.
- Prepare and present design proposals, mood boards, and material samples to clients, incorporating feedback and refining concepts as needed.
- Stay updated on industry trends, sustainable design practices, and emerging technologies to continuously innovate and enhance project outcomes.
- Mentor junior designers and provide guidance on best practices, technical detailing, and client management.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 5â8 years of professional experience in interior design, with a proven track record of leading successful projects from concept to completion.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, SketchUp, Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign), and 3D rendering software (e.g., V-Ray, Lumion).
- Strong technical detailing skills, including knowledge of construction methods, materials, and building codes relevant to interior design.
- Exceptional spatial awareness and ability to create functional, aesthetically pleasing designs that align with client needs and brand identity.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to articulate design concepts clearly to clients, contractors, and team members.
- Experience working with cross-functional teams, including architects, engineers, and vendors, to deliver cohesive project outcomes.
- Portfolio showcasing a diverse range of projects, including residential, commercial, and hospitality spaces, with a focus on innovative and sustainable design.
- Bachelorâs degree in Interior Design, Architecture, or a related field; professional certification (e.g., NCIDQ) is a plus.
