Responsibility
- Design, deploy, and manage enterprise-level network infrastructure, including LAN/WAN, VPN, firewalls, and wireless systems.
- Monitor network performance, troubleshoot issues, and implement optimizations to ensure 99.9% uptime and low latency.
- Develop and enforce security policies, conduct vulnerability assessments, and respond to cybersecurity incidents.
- Collaborate with cloud teams to integrate on-premise infrastructure with AWS/Azure/GCP environments.
- Automate network operations using scripting (Python, Bash) and infrastructure-as-code (Terraform, Ansible).
- Lead disaster recovery planning and execute failover tests to minimize downtime risks.
- Document network architectures, configurations, and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
- Mentor junior engineers and provide technical guidance to IT support teams.
Qualifications
- Bachelorâs degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- 5+ years of experience in network engineering, infrastructure management, or systems administration.
- Expertise in Cisco/Juniper networking hardware, routing protocols (BGP, OSPF), and switching technologies.
- Hands-on experience with firewalls (Palo Alto, Fortinet), load balancers (F5, NGINX), and SD-WAN solutions.
- Proficiency in cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and hybrid cloud architectures.
- Strong knowledge of cybersecurity best practices, including Zero Trust, IAM, and encryption standards.
- Familiarity with monitoring tools (SolarWinds, PRTG, Nagios) and log analysis (Splunk, ELK Stack).
- Certifications such as CCNP, JNCIE, AWS Certified Advanced Networking, or CISSP are highly desirable.
