Responsibility
- Monitor and analyze security alerts from SIEM, IDS/IPS, and endpoint detection systems to identify and mitigate potential threats.
- Lead incident response efforts, including investigation, containment, eradication, and recovery from security breaches.
- Conduct regular vulnerability assessments and penetration testing to proactively identify and remediate system weaknesses.
- Develop, implement, and maintain security policies, procedures, and standards in alignment with industry best practices.
- Collaborate with IT and development teams to integrate security controls into applications, networks, and cloud environments.
- Perform security awareness training and phishing simulations to enhance employee vigilance against cyber threats.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements (e.g., GDPR, PDPA) and prepare for audits by maintaining accurate documentation.
- Evaluate and recommend cutting-edge security tools and technologies to strengthen the organization’s defense posture.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or a related field. Advanced degrees or certifications (e.g., CISSP, CISM, CEH, OSCP) are a plus.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in information security, with a focus on incident response, threat intelligence, or security operations.
- Hands-on experience with SIEM tools (e.g., Splunk, QRadar), EDR solutions, and network security monitoring.
- Proficiency in conducting vulnerability scans, penetration tests, and forensic analysis using tools like Nessus, Burp Suite, or Metasploit.
- Strong understanding of security frameworks (ISO 27001, NIST CSF) and compliance standards (GDPR, PCI DSS).
- Experience securing cloud environments (AWS, Azure, GCP) and hybrid infrastructures.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex security concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Proven ability to work under pressure, manage multiple priorities, and respond to security incidents with urgency and precision.
