Responsibility
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable GIS applications and geospatial databases using modern technologies (e.g., PostGIS, QGIS, ArcGIS, Leaflet, OpenLayers).
- Develop and optimize spatial data processing pipelines for large-scale geospatial datasets.
- Create interactive web maps and visualization tools to support data-driven decision-making.
- Integrate GIS solutions with AI/ML models for predictive analytics and spatial intelligence.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and deliver geospatial solutions tailored to business needs.
- Ensure data accuracy, performance, and security of geospatial systems.
- Document technical processes, APIs, and best practices for GIS development.
- Stay updated with emerging trends in geospatial technology and recommend innovative solutions.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Geographic Information Systems (GIS), Computer Science, Geography, or a related field.
- 3+ years of professional experience in GIS development, geospatial analysis, or spatial data engineering.
- Proficiency in Python, JavaScript (React/Node.js), SQL, and spatial databases (PostgreSQL/PostGIS).
- Experience with GIS software (QGIS, ArcGIS, GRASS GIS) and web mapping libraries (Leaflet, OpenLayers, Mapbox).
- Strong understanding of spatial data formats (GeoJSON, Shapefile, KML) and geospatial algorithms.
- Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Google Cloud, Azure) and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes) is a plus.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work in a remote, collaborative environment.
- Strong communication skills in English (written and verbal).
