As a GIS Consultant, you will play a critical role in organizing, tracking, and verifying land-related documentation, including digital and physical map references, lease agreements, and land titles. Responsibility
- Develop, maintain, and update GIS databases for land parcels, project boundaries, and spatial references using tools like ArcGIS, QGIS, or AutoCAD.
- Manage and organize hard and soft copies of land-related documents, including titles, surveys, and lease agreements, ensuring version control and accessibility.
- Conduct spatial analysis to assess project feasibility, environmental impact, and land-use compatibility for renewable energy sites.
- Collaborate with legal, engineering, and project teams to verify land ownership, easements, and regulatory compliance.
- Generate custom maps, reports, and visualizations to support project proposals, stakeholder presentations, and internal reviews.
- Implement data validation processes to ensure accuracy and consistency across all geospatial datasets.
- Stay updated on local land laws, zoning regulations, and GIS best practices in Indonesia and the Philippines.
- Provide technical training and support to team members on GIS tools and data management protocols.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Geography, GIS, Environmental Science, Surveying, or a related field. Master’s degree is a plus.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in GIS analysis, preferably in renewable energy, land development, or infrastructure sectors.
- Proficiency in GIS software (ArcGIS, QGIS, AutoCAD Civil 3D) and remote sensing tools.
- Strong knowledge of spatial databases (PostgreSQL/PostGIS, SQL Server) and scripting (Python, R).
- Experience with land documentation management, including digitization, georeferencing, and metadata standards.
- Familiarity with Indonesian and Philippine land laws and regulatory frameworks for energy projects.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills with the ability to present complex data clearly.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, multicultural environment.
