Responsibility
- Review and process invoices, ensuring accuracy and timely payment in accordance with company policies and accounting standards.
- Resolve payment queries and discrepancies with vendors, internal teams, and stakeholders to maintain smooth financial operations.
- Reconcile financial data, including bank statements, general ledger accounts, and intercompany transactions, to ensure accuracy and completeness.
- Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports, providing insights and recommendations to management.
- Support the month-end and year-end closing processes, including journal entries, accruals, and provisions.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure compliance with local and international accounting regulations (e.g., IFRS, GAAP).
- Identify opportunities to streamline and automate financial processes, improving efficiency and reducing manual errors.
- Assist in audits by providing documentation, explanations, and support to internal and external auditors.
- Mentor and guide junior accounting staff, fostering a culture of continuous learning and professional development.
Qualifications
- Bachelorâs degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA or equivalent certification is a strong plus.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in general accounting, with at least 2 years in a senior or supervisory role.
- Proficient in accounting software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, QuickBooks) and advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, macros).
- Strong understanding of accounting principles (IFRS, GAAP) and financial reporting standards.
- Experience with month-end and year-end closing processes, including reconciliations and financial statement preparation.
- Excellent analytical skills with a keen eye for detail and accuracy.
- Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong communication skills in English, with the ability to explain financial concepts to non-financial stakeholders.
- Experience working in a multinational company or with international teams is highly desirable.
