Responsibility
- Design, develop, and debug embedded firmware for microcontrollers, SoCs, and custom hardware platforms.
- Optimize firmware for performance, power efficiency, and memory usage in resource-constrained environments.
- Collaborate with hardware engineers to define system architectures and ensure seamless hardware-software integration.
- Implement real-time operating systems (RTOS) and bare-metal solutions for critical applications.
- Develop and maintain device drivers, communication protocols (I2C, SPI, UART, CAN), and low-level interfaces.
- Conduct unit testing, integration testing, and validation to ensure firmware reliability and compliance with industry standards.
- Document firmware designs, APIs, and technical specifications for cross-team alignment.
- Stay ahead of emerging trends in embedded systems, IoT, and firmware security to drive continuous innovation.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
- 5+ years of professional experience in firmware development for embedded systems.
- Proficiency in C/C++ and assembly language for microcontrollers (e.g., ARM Cortex, AVR, PIC, ESP32).
- Hands-on experience with RTOS (FreeRTOS, Zephyr, ThreadX) and bare-metal programming.
- Strong understanding of hardware peripherals, registers, and memory management.
- Familiarity with debugging tools (JTAG, SWD, oscilloscopes, logic analyzers) and static/dynamic analysis.
- Experience with version control systems (Git) and collaborative development workflows.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work in Agile/Scrum environments.
