Responsibility
- Design, develop, and debug embedded firmware for microcontrollers (ARM, ESP32, STM32, etc.) and IoT devices.
- Collaborate with hardware engineers to define system architectures and ensure seamless hardware-software integration.
- Optimize firmware for power efficiency, real-time performance, and memory constraints in resource-limited environments.
- Implement and test communication protocols (I2C, SPI, UART, BLE, LoRa, etc.) and device drivers.
- Develop and maintain RTOS-based applications (FreeRTOS, Zephyr) and bare-metal solutions.
- Conduct code reviews, static analysis, and unit testing to ensure robustness and compliance with industry standards (MISRA-C, ISO 26262).
- Troubleshoot and resolve firmware-related issues in prototypes and production units.
- Document firmware designs, APIs, and technical specifications for cross-team alignment.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field.
- 5+ years of professional experience in embedded firmware development for consumer electronics, industrial systems, or IoT.
- Proficiency in C/C++ for microcontrollers and deep understanding of hardware-software interfaces.
- Experience with debugging tools (JTAG, SWD, logic analyzers) and development boards (STM32, Raspberry Pi, Arduino).
- Familiarity with version control systems (Git) and CI/CD pipelines for embedded projects.
- Knowledge of wireless protocols (Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, Zigbee) and cloud connectivity (MQTT, AWS IoT, etc.).
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work in Agile/Scrum environments.
- Excellent communication skills in English; prior experience in international teams is a plus.
