Responsibility
- Conduct in-depth cost analysis and variance reporting to identify trends and opportunities for cost optimization
- Assist the Cost Accounting Director in developing and maintaining cost accounting systems and procedures
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports with a focus on cost-related metrics
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to analyze product costs, overhead allocation, and inventory valuation
- Support budgeting and forecasting processes by providing accurate cost data and analysis
- Identify and implement process improvements to enhance the efficiency of cost accounting operations
- Ensure compliance with accounting standards (GAAP/IFRS) and company policies
- Present financial insights and recommendations to senior management to support strategic decision-making
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA or CMA certification is a plus
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in cost accounting or financial analysis, preferably in the food industry or manufacturing sector
- Strong understanding of cost accounting principles, inventory valuation, and overhead allocation
- Proficiency in ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) and advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, macros)
- Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data
- Strong communication skills to present financial information to non-financial stakeholders
- Ability to work independently in a remote setting with minimal supervision
- Experience with financial modeling and forecasting tools is highly desirable
