Responsibility
- Manage end-to-end payroll processing, including salary calculations, deductions, and tax compliance in accordance with Singaporean regulations.
- Oversee the administration of staff claims, reimbursements, and allowances, ensuring accuracy and adherence to university policies.
- Collaborate with HR and department heads to resolve payroll discrepancies and address employee inquiries.
- Prepare and submit statutory reports (e.g., CPF, IRAS) and internal financial reports on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis.
- Maintain and update payroll systems and databases, ensuring data integrity and confidentiality.
- Develop and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency in payroll and claims workflows.
- Stay abreast of changes in labor laws, tax regulations, and university policies affecting payroll and benefits.
- Assist in budgeting and forecasting for payroll-related expenses and provide financial insights to management.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field. Professional certifications (e.g., ACCA, CIMA) are a plus.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in payroll administration, preferably in a large organization or educational institution.
- In-depth knowledge of Singapore payroll regulations, including CPF, IRAS, and employment laws.
- Proficiency in payroll software (e.g., SAP, Workday) and advanced Excel skills for data analysis and reporting.
- Strong attention to detail, analytical skills, and the ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to liaise with staff, HR, and external stakeholders.
- Ability to work under tight deadlines and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience with financial reporting and process optimization is highly desirable.
