Responsibility
- Oversee and manage daily accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger entries
- Prepare accurate and timely financial statements, reports, and forecasts in compliance with local and international accounting standards
- Ensure tax compliance and coordinate with external auditors for annual audits and regulatory filings
- Develop and implement financial controls, policies, and procedures to enhance operational efficiency and mitigate risks
- Analyze financial data to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for cost optimization and revenue growth
- Collaborate with senior management to provide strategic financial insights and support decision-making
- Lead and mentor junior finance team members, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and professional development
- Manage relationships with banks, financial institutions, and external stakeholders to ensure smooth financial operations
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; professional certification (e.g., CPA, ACCA, CA) is a strong plus
- Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in accounting or finance, with at least 2 years in a senior or supervisory role
- Proficient in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero, SAP) and advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, financial modeling)
- Strong understanding of international financial reporting standards (IFRS) and local tax regulations
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills, with the ability to present complex financial data clearly
- High level of integrity, attention to detail, and ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Experience in the insurance, reinsurance, or financial services industry is highly desirable
- Fluency in English; additional languages are a bonus
