Responsibility
- Lead and execute Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT) for marine and offshore equipment, ensuring compliance with industry standards and client specifications.
- Develop and review test procedures, protocols, and documentation to ensure accuracy and completeness.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineering, production, and quality assurance, to resolve technical issues and improve processes.
- Conduct thorough inspections and performance evaluations of equipment, identifying and documenting any deviations or non-conformities.
- Provide technical guidance and training to junior engineers and technicians on FAT processes and best practices.
- Prepare detailed reports and presentations summarizing test results, findings, and recommendations for stakeholders.
- Ensure all testing activities adhere to safety regulations and company policies.
- Participate in client meetings and discussions to address technical queries and provide expert insights.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field. Advanced degrees or certifications are a plus.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT) within the marine, offshore, or oil and gas industries.
- Strong knowledge of industry standards and regulations, such as ISO, API, and DNV.
- Proven ability to lead and manage testing projects, including planning, execution, and reporting.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen attention to detail.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
- Proficiency in using testing equipment, software, and tools relevant to marine and offshore systems.
- Willingness to travel to client sites and testing facilities as required.
