Responsibility
- Develop and implement procurement strategies to optimize inventory and supply chain efficiency.
- Monitor and analyze inventory levels to ensure timely procurement and minimize shortages.
- Negotiate contracts and terms with suppliers to secure cost-effective and high-quality materials.
- Ensure compliance with defence sector regulations and company procurement policies.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to forecast demand and align procurement activities.
- Evaluate supplier performance and maintain strong relationships to support operational needs.
- Prepare and present procurement reports to senior management for strategic decision-making.
- Identify opportunities for process improvements and cost savings in procurement operations.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in procurement, preferably in the defence or logistics sector.
- Strong analytical and negotiation skills with a proven track record in strategic sourcing.
- Proficiency in procurement software and ERP systems.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Knowledge of defence sector procurement regulations and compliance requirements.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Certification in procurement (e.g., CIPS) is a plus.
