Responsibility
- Lead end-to-end project management for engineering initiatives, ensuring on-time delivery and adherence to quality standards.
- Collaborate with design, sourcing, and manufacturing teams to develop innovative, high-performance apparel and gear.
- Oversee technical specifications, material selection, and prototyping for new product lines.
- Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency, sustainability, and cost-effectiveness.
- Act as a liaison between global HQ and local production teams to align on project goals and milestones.
- Conduct risk assessments and develop mitigation strategies for engineering and supply chain challenges.
- Mentor junior engineers and provide technical guidance to cross-functional teams.
- Stay ahead of industry trends in materials, manufacturing, and sustainability to drive competitive advantage.
Qualifications
- Bachelorâs degree in Mechanical Engineering, Textile Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field. Advanced degree preferred.
- Minimum 7+ years of experience in product development, engineering, or project management, preferably in the apparel or sports industry.
- Proven track record of managing complex projects from concept to commercialization.
- Strong technical knowledge of materials, manufacturing processes, and quality control in apparel production.
- Proficiency in CAD software, PLM systems, and Microsoft Project or similar tools.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to work across cultures and time zones.
- Experience with sustainable manufacturing practices and certifications (e.g., bluesignÂŽ, OEKO-TEXÂŽ) is a plus.
- Passion for action sports, surf culture, or the outdoor industry is highly desirable.
