Responsibility
- Lead the architecture, design, and development of embedded software for IoT and automotive applications.
- Optimize real-time firmware for performance, power efficiency, and reliability on resource-constrained devices.
- Collaborate with hardware engineers to define system requirements and ensure seamless integration.
- Develop and maintain device drivers, communication protocols (CAN, I2C, SPI, UART), and low-level system software.
- Implement over-the-air (OTA) update mechanisms and secure bootloaders for remote device management.
- Conduct code reviews, debugging, and testing (unit, integration, and system-level) to ensure high-quality deliverables.
- Mentor junior engineers and contribute to best practices in embedded software development.
- Stay ahead of industry trends in embedded Linux, RTOS (FreeRTOS, Zephyr), and automotive standards (AUTOSAR, MISRA-C).
Qualifications
- Bachelorâs or Masterâs degree in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in embedded software development, with a focus on IoT or automotive systems.
- Proficiency in C/C++ and experience with assembly language for microcontrollers (ARM Cortex, AVR, etc.).
- Hands-on experience with RTOS (FreeRTOS, Zephyr, VxWorks) and embedded Linux.
- Familiarity with communication protocols (CAN, LIN, Ethernet, BLE, LoRaWAN) and hardware debugging tools (JTAG, oscilloscopes).
- Strong understanding of memory management, power optimization, and real-time constraints in embedded systems.
- Experience with version control (Git) and CI/CD pipelines for embedded projects.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
