Whether you're optimizing UPS systems, generator backups, or advanced cooling architectures, your work will have a direct impact on the performance and sustainability of world-class data facilities.
Responsibility
- Design and engineer electrical power distribution systems, including switchgear, transformers, and UPS configurations for data centers.
- Develop mechanical systems such as HVAC, chilled water loops, and precision cooling to maintain optimal operational environments.
- Conduct load calculations, short-circuit analyses, and arc flash studies to ensure system safety and compliance (NFPA, IEC, local codes).
- Collaborate with architects and construction teams to integrate modular and scalable designs for greenfield and retrofit projects.
- Perform CFD (Computational Fluid Dynamics) modeling to optimize airflow and thermal management in high-density server environments.
- Prepare and review technical specifications, drawings, and BOMs for procurement and vendor coordination.
- Ensure designs adhere to Tier III/IV standards (Uptime Institute) and sustainability certifications (LEED, PUE optimization).
- Provide on-site support during commissioning, testing, and troubleshooting of installed systems.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field; PE/P.Eng. certification is a plus.
- Minimum 5+ years of experience in data center design, with a portfolio of completed projects (hyperscale, colocation, or enterprise).
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit MEP, ETAP, or SKM PowerTools for system modeling and analysis.
- Deep knowledge of NFPA 70 (NEC), NFPA 79, ASHRAE 90.4, and other relevant standards for critical infrastructure.
- Experience with BMS (Building Management Systems) and DCIM (Data Center Infrastructure Management) tools.
- Strong understanding of energy efficiency metrics (PUE, WUE, ERF) and renewable energy integration (solar, battery storage).
- Excellent project management skills, with the ability to lead multidisciplinary teams and meet tight deadlines.
- Fluency in English; knowledge of Bahasa Indonesia is advantageous but not required.
