Responsibility
- Lead the execution of electrical repairs, maintenance, and upgrades for submarine vessels, ensuring adherence to technical specifications and safety protocols.
- Develop and review electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical documentation for submarine systems.
- Troubleshoot complex electrical issues, including power distribution, control systems, and navigation equipment.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (mechanical, hydraulic, and software engineers) to integrate electrical systems with other submarine components.
- Conduct rigorous testing and validation of electrical systems to ensure compliance with military and maritime standards (e.g., NATO, ABS, DNV).
- Mentor junior engineers and technicians, providing technical guidance and training on submarine electrical systems.
- Oversee the procurement and installation of electrical components, ensuring quality and compatibility with existing systems.
- Prepare detailed reports on project progress, risks, and recommendations for continuous improvement.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Marine Engineering, or a related field. Advanced certifications (e.g., Chartered Engineer, PE) are a plus.
- Minimum 8+ years of experience in electrical engineering, with at least 3 years specializing in submarine or naval vessel systems.
- Proven expertise in power generation, distribution, and control systems for marine applications.
- Strong knowledge of maritime regulations (e.g., SOLAS, IMO) and military standards for submarine electrical systems.
- Proficiency in using CAD software (AutoCAD, SolidWorks Electrical) and simulation tools (e.g., MATLAB, ETAP).
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure in high-stakes environments.
- Fluency in English (written and verbal); knowledge of Indonesian (Bahasa) is advantageous.
- Willingness to travel or relocate for project assignments as required.
