Responsibility
- Design, develop, and implement electrical systems and solutions to enhance reliability and performance in refining operations.
- Conduct regular inspections, testing, and preventive maintenance of electrical equipment, including transformers, switchgears, and control systems.
- Troubleshoot complex electrical issues, identify root causes, and propose cost-effective solutions to minimize downtime.
- Ensure compliance with local and international electrical safety standards, including IEC, NEC, and OSHA regulations.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate electrical systems with process automation and instrumentation.
- Develop and update electrical schematics, single-line diagrams, and technical documentation.
- Lead or participate in HAZOP (Hazard and Operability) studies and risk assessments for electrical installations.
- Optimize energy consumption and recommend upgrades to improve efficiency and sustainability.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field; Master’s degree is a plus.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in electrical engineering within the oil & gas, petrochemical, or heavy industrial sectors.
- Professional Engineer (PE) license or equivalent certification is highly desirable.
- Proven expertise in high-voltage systems, power distribution, and industrial automation (e.g., PLC, SCADA).
- Strong knowledge of electrical codes and standards (IEC, IEEE, API, etc.) and safety protocols.
- Experience with electrical design software (e.g., ETAP, AutoCAD Electrical, or SKM PowerTools).
- Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and project management skills.
- Fluency in English; proficiency in Bahasa Indonesia is an advantage.
