Responsibility
- Design, develop, and test advanced electrical systems, circuits, and components for Microsoftâs hardware and infrastructure projects.
- Lead the integration of electrical systems with software, firmware, and mechanical components to ensure seamless functionality.
- Collaborate with product managers, software engineers, and other stakeholders to define technical requirements and project scopes.
- Conduct feasibility studies, risk assessments, and cost analyses for electrical engineering solutions.
- Optimize electrical designs for performance, reliability, scalability, and energy efficiency.
- Oversee prototyping, testing, and validation of electrical systems to meet industry standards and regulatory compliance.
- Mentor junior engineers and provide technical guidance to cross-functional teams.
- Stay abreast of emerging technologies and industry trends to drive innovation in Microsoftâs electrical engineering practices.
Qualifications
- Bachelorâs or Masterâs degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience in electrical design, development, and testing.
- Proficiency in CAD tools (e.g., Altium, OrCAD) and simulation software (e.g., SPICE, MATLAB).
- Strong knowledge of power systems, PCB design, embedded systems, and control systems.
- Experience with industry standards (e.g., IEEE, UL, CE) and regulatory compliance for electrical products.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex electrical issues.
- Proven track record of managing projects from concept to production in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with global teams.
